Reports To: Building Principal

Position is dependent upon grant funding.

 

Qualifications: The Advisor is responsible for supporting and assisting students in various school settings.

• BA/BS degree and possess a Washington State Teaching Certificate
• Coure work and/or experience appropriate to assignment.
• Ability to work with students.
• Ability to keep accurate records and daily student contact.
• Good communication skills.
• Must be patient, compassionate, and persistent.
• Fingerprinting and background check required.

Performance Responsibilities:.

• Support students in successful engagement.
• Communicate with students, parents and staff in a variety of school settings.
• Supervise students in the classroom.
• Collect data and report student progress.
• Maintain accurate data collection records.
• Provide positive behavior management support.
• Adapt teaching methods to achieve student goals.
• Participate as a member of the education team.
• Other duties as assigned.

Terms of Employment:

• Salary: Curriculum rate
• Hours: 1.5 hours per day, 2 days a week
• Evaluation: Annually
